THE NEED: ADULT DAY TREATMENT
CARE Club is for Individuals who experience mental illness and sometimes need an enhanced level of support, but do not need a hospital level of care.
Our CARE Club provides skills training and psychiatric treatment in a supportive environment 16 hours per week across the weekday hours for adults.
Day treatment is an important part of a care continuum allowing an individual to receive treatment while living and working in the community.
Today, CARE Club is located in the basement of our outpatient services building on Walnut Street, which once served as a dormitory for the old Yankton College campus in the 1960’s. Accessibility is limited.
The new CARE Club will provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our clients with ground-level access to spaces designed specifically for:
- Individual and group therapy
- Occupational therapy
- Specialized treatment and rehabilitation
- Group activities
- Arts and crafts
- On-site meals
Your donation is needed for:
- 56 dining chairs and 7 tables
- Kitchen appliances and equipment
- Conference room tables, chairs, cabinets, and audio/visual equipment
- Staff office chairs and desks
- Laundry, exercise, and self-care equipment
- Security equipment
